Promenade Café
This cafe-deli was designed to fit a refurbished Georgian premises, on a seafront promenade of South County Dublin. Although a very tight space, we managed to accomodate the cafe, retail space and serving counter along with the ancillary services required.
The design is French Art-Deco combined with Art Nouveau, inspired by Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France – built in an era when promenade walking and afternoon tea were in vogue.
The style is executed with careful detailing in the painted cabinetry and ceilings, in addition to painted bentwood chairs and tiffany lights. The refreshing colour scheme is inspired by the changing shades of the sea, the sandy beach and earthy rocks which are overlooked by the cafe.
