The original Coachhouse Bar, located in the town of Gorey, Ireland, was completely gutted and extended, with a restaurant and function room installed on the first floor. All three venues were designed to have individual identities yet the transition from each to be harmonious. This was incorporated into each logo design on which we had creative direction.
While the brief was to completely re-design the existing premises, the clients were anxious to retain the existing customers that have been loyal to the original bar. In addition to this, our clients wanted to provide an area where day-time food could be served. This area would also need to lend itself to hosting live music and a younger clientele, particularly on weekends.
Influences were taken from Prohibition era bars and decoration giving a refined elegance.
